Beverly "Joan" Barlow, 84, went to be with the Lord Jesus Christ, Saturday, April 29, 2017, at Castle Rock Adventist Hospital, Castle Rock, Colorado. She was born July 23, 1932, in Frankfort, the daughter of Doyle Myron and Thelma Louise (Corns) Bolen. On Feb. 23, 1952, in Kokomo, she married Harold Richard "Dick" Barlow, and he survives.
They had one son, Richard Alen "Rick" Barlow, who went home to be with the Lord Jesus Christ on Jan. 1, 2008.
Joan is survived by husband, Richard "Dick" Barlow, Sedalia, Colorado; grandchildren, Courtney (Kurt) Penberthy, Spokane, Washington, and Nickolas (Brandy) Barlow, Bothel, Washington; great-grandchildren, Jackson and Eliza Penberthy, Spokane, Washington; sisters-in-law, Stella Pauline Mace, Kokomo, and Peggy Richter, Kokomo; siblings, Janet Smith, Brookville, Florida, John (Bobbie) Bolen, Kokomo, Dixie Bolen, Kokomo; and many nieces and nephews.
Joan was preceded in death by her parents, and her brothers, David, Ronnie, Richard and Robert Bolen; and sisters, Patty Perkins, Becky Smith and Nancy Maxwell.
Joan was a loving and faithful wife and mother. She was saved, believing in the Lord Jesus Christ, on Palm Sunday 1965, at Twin City Baptist Church, Mishawaka.
There will be a memorial service at 11 a.m. May 18, 2017, at First Baptist Church in Englewood, Colorado.
