AnnElla's Story

AnnElla "Grandma Chocolate Gravy" (Ford) Wilson, 85, Kempton, passed away Saturday, June 3, 2017, at Shands Live Oak Regional Medical Center in Live Oak, Florida. She was born July 9, 1931, in Arkansas. She was the daughter of James Samuel & Girtie Ethel (Hyslip) Ford. On Aug. 8, 1950, she married William Junior Wilson, and he survives.

AnnElla was a homemaker who enjoyed embroidery, quilting, word search puzzles and taco dinners with her grandchildren followed by playing games of Phase 10. She was a member of Church of Christ in Tipton.

AnnElla is survived by her husband, William Junior Wilson; children, Jim (Pam) Wilson, Judy (Bill) Hecht, Kenny (Teresa) Wilson, Gene (Joyce) Wilson, Keith (Karon) Wilson, and Donna (Benny) Beckner; grandchildren, James R. Wilson, Misty Muse, Casey Wilson, Terry Chapel, Amy Chapel, Joshua Wilson, Kathleen Morley, Jason Wilson, Elizabeth Tillman, Christopher Parkhurst, and Megan Beckner, along with several step-grandchildren, great-grandchildren, step-great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; sister, Helen Mitchell; numerous nieces and nephews and special friend, Charlene Gresley.

AnnElla was preceded in death by her parents, sisters, Elsie Mae Brooks, Mary Viola Crossno, and Frances Martin, her brothers, Tilmon Ford, Pete Ford, Tom Ford, Norman Ford, and three infant siblings, and great-grandson, Micah "Nails" Morley, as well as step-grandson, Chris Gibson.

Funeral services for AnnElla will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, June 10, 2017, at Stout & Son Funeral Home, 200 E. Main St., Russiaville, with Minister Johnny Ankrom officiating. Burial will follow in Liberty Cemetery. Friends are invited to visit with the family from 11 to 1 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home. A special request made by Junior is that family and friends join him for dinner at the Tipton Church of Christ following graveside services.
