God came down and took one of his little angels, Anita L. TenBrook, 84, loving wife of Don TenBrook, at 5:15 a.m. Friday, March 17, 2017, from North Woods Village in Kokomo. She was born March 20, 1932, in Kokomo, to Bill and Wanita (Bowen) French. Anita and Don would have been married 65 years on Aug. 7, 2017.
Anita was a past president of her beloved PEO. Anita was not only a very loving mother, but a very loving person with a smile that captured your heart. She was devoted to her family and friends and always put others first.
She was a life-long member of First Christian Church, with a love for the church and a heart of gold. She will be missed in many ways.
In addition to her husband, Anita is survived by her children, David (Debbie) TenBrook, Dan (friend Ruth Schroeder) TenBrook, Jeff (fiancee Annette) TenBrook, and Barbara (spouse, Jennifer Duke) TenBrook; grandchildren, Nathaniel TenBrook, Jason TenBrook, Bryan (friend Kayla) TenBrook, and Kelly (Marc) Myers; great-granddaughters, Monica Myers and Carmella Kurtz; sister, Barbara (Robert) Stutzman; and close family friend, Tiffany Stevens.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and daughter-in-law, Mary TenBrook.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Thursday at Shirley & Stout Funeral Home, 1315 W. Lincoln Road, with Pastor Jeff Sexton officiating. Entombment will follow in Sunset Memory Garden Cemetery. Friends are invited to visit from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
