Wilma Chloedene Phillabaum, 96, passed away Sunday, Jan. 21, 2018, at Wellbrooke of Kokomo. Wilma was born to John and Ethel (Freeland) Kelley in Cooksville, Illinois, then moved to Oakford, Indiana during her childhood. Wilma married her husband of 68 years, William L. Phillabaum, on April 13, 1941. He preceded her in passing Sept. 9, 2009.
Wilma retired from Delco Electronics after 31 years.
In her younger years, Wilma loved to dance. She has enjoyed listening to music all of her life. Wilma also enjoyed word-search puzzles.
Wilma is survived by her daughters, Marcia Rayls, Las Vegas, Mary (Harold) Linton, Russiaville, and Reta (Terry) Wilson, Russiaville; 10 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren, and 23 great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Marjorie Hendricks and Shirley Martin; and brother, Gary (Sharon) Kelley.
She was preceded in passing by her husband; her parents; son-in-law, Jay Rayles; five brothers; three sisters; and three grandchildren.
Family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 25, at Ellers Mortuary, Webster Street Chapel, with a funeral service following at 1 p.m., officiated by Pastor Ryan Mills. Wilma will be laid to rest at Sunset Memory Garden.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to Great Lakes Hospice Care.
