William "Bill" Kenneth Kromann passed away at home at the age of 69 on Jan. 25, 2018. Known for his warm smile and a friend to many, Bill will be deeply missed.
Bill was born on March 31, 1948, in Detroit, Michigan, to William Henry Kromann and Lillian Kromann, who preceded him in death.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 25 years, Susan M. Kromann of Kokomo, his son Ryan William Kromann (Jennifer) of St. Louis, and his grandchildren Ellie Marie Kromann and Samuel William Kromann of St. Louis.
A graduate of the Walter P Chrysler Memorial High School in Newcastle, Indiana, Bill earned his bachelor's and master's degrees in organizational communications from Purdue University in 1970 and 1972 respectively. He then pursued a successful career in human resource management and labor relations for more than 20 years, working for the State of Indiana, Bristol-Meyers Squibb, Hallmark and Ford Motor Company.
Bill cherished spending time with his wife Susan, who he married on Dec. 5, 1992, and loved with all his heart. He enjoyed investing in his family and close friends, playing with his dogs, poker and golf. After Bill's mother taught him to play golf at the Kokomo Country Club, Bill became a passionate player and fan. He especially enjoyed playing as a member of the Brickyard Crossing Men's Club.
A memorial service will be held in his honor on Wednesday, Jan. 31, at Shirley and Stout Funeral Home, 1315 W. Lincoln Road, Kokomo, IN. Family will receive guests from 2 to 4 p.m., followed by the service at 4 p.m. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Kokomo Humane Society.
