Virginia A. "Jenny" Tadlock, 81, of Galveston, went home to be with the Lord at 3:15 a.m. Tuesday, March 12, 2019, at Ascension St. Vincent Hospital, Kokomo. She was born Sept. 3, 1937, in Magness, Arkansas, to Marshel H. and Virl (Powell) Stroud. She first married Edward D. Gould, and he preceded her in death serving his country in Vietnam in 1965. She later married Charles "Ray" Tadlock, and he preceded her in death in 1993.
Jenny was a homemaker and had worked for Peoples Bank in South Carolina, and most recently the Galveston Library. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Galveston and enjoyed yard work.
Surviving family include her brother, Charles (Jan) Stroud, Galveston, and nephews, Brian Stroud, Kokomo, and Jason (Chastity) Stroud, Galveston, and niece, Angela Stroud, Galveston. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Bob, and husbands, Edward D. Gould and Charles "Ray" Tadlock.
Private family services will be held at Galveston Cemetery, with Pastor Don McDowell officiating. Memorial contributions may be given to the Galveston Volunteer Fire Department. Murray Weaver Funeral Home in Galveston has been entrusted with arrangements,
