Virginia (Davis) Hyman, 90, passed away Sunday, Jan. 7, 2018, in Kokomo. She was born April 9, 1927, to the late Clark and May Davis in Young America.
Virginia graduated from Young America High School in 1945. On May 12, 1945, she was later married to Harold Hyman. Harold preceded Virginia in death Oct. 30, 2012. Virginia and Harold were members of Eagles for more than 30 years.
Virginia worked as a clerk at Delco for 31 years before retiring in 1987. She enjoyed fishing, particularly at Nyona Lake in Rochester. She also enjoyed watching the Indiana Pacers and playing the slot machines at Blue Chip Casino.
Virginia is survived by her three sons, Michael (Linda) Hyman, Garry (Karen) Hyman and Larry (Janna) Hyman; grandchildren, Josh Hyman, Jason Hyman, Sarah (Mark) Davis, Ryan Hyman, Brandon (Ulyssa) Beaty, Lindsay (Nathan) Persohn, Aaron (Dawn) Hyman and Eric Hyman; niece, Marcia (Carroll) Webster; nephew, Dick (Joyce) Davis; and nine great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, Virginia was preceded in death by her siblings, Thelma Richeson, George Davis, Albert Davis and Jay Davis; and grandsons, Greg Hyman and John Adam Hyman.
There will be a public visitation for Virginia from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 11, at Sunset Memory Garden Funeral Home, with a funeral service immediately following at 1.
