Vince "Junior" Gibson, 52, Indianapolis, passed away Friday, Sept. 1, 2017, at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis. He was born Aug. 29, 1965, in Munich, Germany, to Homer and Sue (Sanders) Gibson. On June 13, 1997, in Tipton, he married and is survived by Rhonda Fearnow.
Vince graduated from Kokomo High School in 1983 and worked at CNO in the IT department for eight years. He was an extremely talented artist who enjoyed drawing and sculpting. He was an avid fan of classic horror and thriller movies and Edgar Allan Poe.
In addition to his wife, Rhonda Gibson, Indianapolis, he is survived by his father, Homer Gibson, Greentown; brothers, Joe Gibson, Greentown, and Scott Gibson, Greentown; mother-in-law, Jane Fearnow, Kokomo; brothers-in-law, Matthew (Stephanie) Fearnow, Poland, Indiana, and Jon-Michael (Bre) Fearnow, Kokomo; sisters-in-law, Bethanne (Jay) Howard, Kokomo, and Sarah Fearnow, Kokomo; and nieces and nephews, Dustin Gibson, Kara Gibson, Jeff Sorce, Kayla Howard, Chelsea Howard, Dory Fearnow, Alli Fearnow, Lilli Fearnow, Graydon Fearnow, Raylan Fearnow and Tanner Fearnow.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Sue Gibson; father-in-law, Ron Fearnow; grandparents; and his favorite cat, Betsy.
Celebration of life services will be at 3 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 9, 2017, at Shirley & Stout Funeral Home & Crematory, 1315 W. Lincoln Road, with Pastor Curtis Matteson officiating. Friends are invited to visit with the family from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
