Vera Lee Farrior, 91, Fishers, passed away Saturday, Sept. 30, 2017, at Hamilton Trace of Fishers. She was born May 7, 1926, to Elmer and Mary (Lowder) Burch in Mohawk, Indiana.
During World War II, Vera worked for RCA on microphones for pilots. She also worked as a stenographer and secretary for attorneys, veteran's state services, and the state legislature. Vera loved Mahjong and enjoyed playing Euchre with the Fishers Friday afternoon and Wednesday night clubs. Most of all, her favorite job was being a homemaker, and she loved being a mom and grandma.
Vera is survived by her daughter, Mary (Chris) Perry; grandson, Michael Perry; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lester Farrior; sister, Gene Maynard; and brother, Bob Burch.
Visitation will be 3:30 to 6 p.m. Friday, Oct. 6, 2017, at Randall & Roberts Fishers Mortuary, 12010 Allisonville Road, Fishers. Services will be at 9 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 7, 2017, at the funeral home, with Pastor Dick Judson officiating. Burial will be at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens in Indianapolis.
