Vennie G. Davidson
Vennie was a homemaker and seamstress, and was a member of the South Marion Church of Christ until its closure, when she then became a member of the Normal Church of Christ, outside of Swayzee. She enjoyed canning, visiting friends and relatives, caring for others, providing food to the sick, and she especially loved to spend time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Left to cherish Vennie's memory are her husband, Edward "Gene" Cunningham, Gas City; three sons, Doug (Brenda) Davidson, Social Circle, Georgia, Dan (Cindy) Davidson, Hartselle, Alabama, and Jeff (Tami) Davidson, Russiaville; daughter, Jill (Ed) Cunningham, Edwardsville, Illinois; brother, Albert Kerr, Thompkinsville, Kentucky; sister, Nina "Kerr" Hopper, Burksville, Kentucky; grandchildren, Stacy, Julie, Joanie, Tiffany, Brad, Stephanie, Brent, Emily, Drew, Rhiannon, Alan, Aaron, Nick, Heather, and Alisha; 32 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Joseph Harold Davidson; daughter, Janice Malott; and 12 siblings, Fred, Wheeler, Frank, Lillie, Jack, Dellie, Gladys, Dessie, Printes, Osby, Thelma, and Inell.
Arrangements for Vennie have been entrusted to the College Park Chapel of Armes-Hunt Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 4601 S. Western Ave., Marion, IN 46953, where a visitation will be from noon to 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 12, 2019, with a funeral service following at 2 p.m. Burial will take place at Grant Memorial Park in Marion.
