Tommy W. Dyer, 84, Russiaville, passed away at 9:45 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 26, 2017, at Kokomo Health Center. He was born March 8, 1933, in Monroe County, Kentucky, the son of the late Joe Sephas Dyer and Effie (Wilson) Dyer. He married Ella White in 1968, and she survives.
Tommy served with the United States Army for two years. He retired from Continental Steel after 33 years of service. Tommy was a member of Honey Creek Missionary Baptist Church and enjoyed fishing.
Tommy is survived by his wife, Ella Dyer, Russiaville; siblings, Bill and Betty Dyer, Kokomo, and Viola Stinson, Kokomo; and several nieces and nephews.
Tommy was preceded in death by his parents; children, Terry Dyer, Patrick Dyer, Greg Dyer, and Jimmy Dyer; brother, Joe Dyer; sister, Lucy England; and his first wife, Barbara Dyer.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 30, 2017, at Honey Creek Missionary Baptist Church, 250 Nashville St., Russiaville, with Pastor Jim Stevenson and Lehmon Hale officiating. Burial will follow in New London Cemetery. Friends are invited to visit with the family from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the church. Stout & Son Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
