Thornton Lee Bryan, 80, Galveston, went home to be with the Lord at 8:41 p.m. Monday, Nov. 27, 2017, at St. Vincent Kokomo. He was born Sept. 26, 1937, in Elwood, Indiana, to Clifford and Jewel (Crow) Bryan. He married Joan B. Goodnight in May of 1959 in Anderson, and she survives.
Thornton retired from Chrysler Transmission in 1991 with 34 years of service. He was a member of South Side Apostolic Church in Kokomo. He enjoyed attending his church, fishing and playing music on his harmonica and steel guitar. He loved children and had fun sharing his music with them.
Surviving family include his wife, Joan Bryan, Galveston, and son, Thorton "Lee" Bryan and wife Myrna, Kokomo. He is also survived by one brother, David Beecher Bryan, Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.
He was preceded in death by his parents, son Jerry, daughter Joanna, and three brothers.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Monday, Dec. 4, at Murray Weaver Funeral Home in Galveston, with Brother Keith Mosier officiating. Burial will follow at Galveston Cemetery.
