Thelma McQuinn, 91, Kokomo, passed away at 2:20 a.m. Saturday, May 6, 2017, at The Wellington Place. Thelma was born July 31, 1925, in Clinton County to Ralph D. and Rosella (Henry) Fearnow. Her marriage to C. "Gayle" McQuinn was Aug. 5, 1944. He preceded her in death Aug. 10, 2004.
Thelma retired in 1993 from Delco Electronics after 28 years. She was a member of West Point Christian Church and UAW Local 292. She enjoyed her flowers, yard work, cooking and loved playing checkers and Euchre. She also was a good business manager.
Survivors include a son, Jerry E. McQuinn, Kokomo; a daughter, Vickie S. Shock, Kokomo; grandchildren, Melanie McQuinn (Shankar Janapathy), Lee McQuinn, Troy Shock and Blake Shock; great-grandchildren, Braydin Shock, Aaron Shock, Trey Shock, Cade Shock, Cole and Avery Shock, Kylie Ann McQuinn, Liam Anthony McQuinn and Shrivu McQuinn; brothers, Ralph "Bud" (Pauline) Fearnow, Forest, Eddie (Nancy) Fearnow, Frankfort, Jerry (Charlotte) Bannon, Alexandria, Diane (Kenny) Hill, Burlington, and Rita Herron; sisters-in-law, Glenda Fearnow, Kokomo, and Olive Fearnow.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, C. "Gayle" McQuinn; brothers, Kenny "Sam" Fearnow, Gerald Fearnow and Waldo Fearnow; sisters, Freda Williams, Marilyn Lee and Bonnie Woodard.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 10, 2017, at Stout & Son Funeral Home 200 E. Main St., Russiaville, with Pastor Darren Miracle officiating. Burial will follow in St. Paul Cemetery, Forest. Friends may visit with the family from noon to 2 p.m. at the funeral home prior to the service.
