Terry Lee Hoover, 71, passed away Monday, Nov. 27, 2017, at St. Vincent Kokomo after suffering from complications of liver cancer. He was born May 3, 1946, to Agnes and Fred Hoover. They preceded him in death.
Terry graduated Peru High School in 1964. After graduation, Terry served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War. Upon returning from war, Terry had many occupations, but eventually retired from Delco Electronics as an electrician.
He was a member of many organizations and clubs, including life membership at the American Legion and VFW Post 1152, once serving as post commander. Terry was also a member of ABATE, once serving as president in the local chapter.
Survivors include one sister, Sherri (John) Durham, Leesburg, Indiana; and two daughters, Lisa (Harold) Schell, Peru, Indiana, and Teri (Anthony) McCord of LaVergne, Tennessee. Surviving grandchildren include Austin, Kimberly and Bayleigh (Lisa); and Redik, Amanda, Danielle and Anthony Jr. (Teri). Terry is also survived by many close friends he considered family.
Per his request, Terry was cremated. There will be no visitation. A celebration of life, including military rites, will be held honoring Terry at a later date.
