Susie R. Fields, 68, Kokomo, went home to be with her Lord and Savior at 12:55 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 15, 2017, with her loving husband of 45 years by her side, at Golden Living Center in Kokomo. She was born Aug. 20, 1949, in Kokomo, the daughter of the late William Howard and Margaret S. (Daughtery) McClory. On Nov. 10, 1972, in Greentown, she married Wayne Curtis Fields Sr., who survives.
Susie was a homemaker and an awesome mommy and mamaw. Her door was always open, as well as her kitchen, where she loved to make sure people were fed. She was a member of Nevada Church of God.
Susie is survived by her husband, Wayne; children, Wayne Jr. (Amanda) Fields, Stacy (Christopher) Dupire, and Joseph (Hannah) Fields; grandchildren, Elijah and Makinsey Fields, Elizabeth Dupire, Gentry Fields, Ethan Dupire, Lily Fields, Paisley Fields, and Isaiah Fields; sister, Joyce (James) Harris; along with a host of brother and sister-in-law's, nieces and nephews.
Susie was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Shirley & Stout Funeral Home & Crematory, 1315 W. Lincoln Rd., Kokomo, with Bill Meiring officiating. Burial will follow in Albright Cemetery. Friends are invited to visit with the family from noon until 2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
