Steven G. Treat, 61, Kokomo, died at his home Tuesday, Jan. 2, 2018.
A memorial service will be 2 to 4 p.m. Jan. 20, 2018, in the Fellowship Hall of Chapel Hill Christian Church, 2600 W. Alto Road, Kokomo.
Steven was born on Aug. 10, 1956, in Norfolk, Virginia, to Charles E. and Patricia A. Treat. Steven proudly served in the United States Navy from 1975 until 1981. When he returned home to his family in Millburg, Michigan, he helped out on home improvement projects for family and friends. He was an artisan, woodworker, crafter, and fisherman. He spent his life doing handyman jobs and woodworking. He was a generous man and was always available to help a friend. He enjoyed making gifts for others, especially around Christmas. He enjoyed telling a good story, tall or short.
Steven loved his family very much.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his children, Candace Treat Hensley and her husband Brad, Indianapolis, Charley Treat, Kokomo, and Lylli Ann Treat, Kokomo; brother, Anthony Treat and wife Pami, Benton Harbor, Michigan; sister, Tina Treat Amstein and her husband Paul, Powell, Ohio; sister, Laura Treat Bulebush and her husband Larry, Kill Devil Hills, North Carolina; and his many grandcats and nieces and nephews.
