I met Steve for the first time at a golf outing at the Spring Football game many years ago. I played in the early 70's, so we really had no connection other than Purdue. I am amazed at how lose I got to this wonderful man. He was outgoing, and always remembered me when he saw me.

I was devastated at his announcement that he had brain cancer, but as usual he approached the situation head-on with a can do attitude.

I always enjoyed seeing him, and I hope his family will remember the good times in this trying time. I lost my brother to colon cancer at 45, so I have some idea of what you are going through.

Please accept my sincere condolences. I feel we have suffered a great loss in
... the Purdue Family. Rest easy, Big Steve!!Read more

Steve and I lifted together at the YMCA in Kokomo, before he went to Milwaukee (Cudahy, WI). I worked with him at KTP and then we hired him at KCP. He was a great friend, very encouraging and upbeat, thorough and thoughtful as an employee, and very caring. He is a Gem that will be missed greatly! God bless Steve and his family!

My Son-in-Law Steve was a wonderful man. He always had a smile on his face and a hand open wide to help. I knew my Daughter Shelly was blessed to have Steve in her life and the Father of their children who he cherished. He will be greatly missed by all who Loved him so dearly.
