Sharon Sue Craig, 80, passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by loved ones at 2:22 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 7, 2018. Sharon was born in Kokomo Dec. 13, 1937, to Leo and Esther (Tilley) Murphy, who preceded her in death. Dec. 31, 1991, she married Robert Craig, who survives.
Sharon was preceded in death by her brother, Robert Murphy; stepdaughter, Christine Craig; and grandson, Shannon Green.
Surviving children include Greg Hammer and wife Liz, Cathy Zellmann and husband Otto, and Melanie Robin and husband Jimmy, all in the Greenville, South Carolina, area. Sharon is also survived by her children, Tamara Robin, Cleveland, Tennessee, and John Deis, Deerfield Beach, Florida. She is survived by stepchildren, Patrick Craig and wife Sandy, Rick Craig and wife Micky, Roger Craig, Kimberly Craig, and Cary Craig.
Surviving siblings are Kay Small-Livingston, Maryville, Tennessee; Roger Murphy and wife Kathy, Kokomo; Jim Murphy and wife Monica, High Point, North Carolina; Cindy Murphy, Etowah, Tennessee; and Brenda Ramsey and husband Jim, Anderson, South Carolina.
Sharon leaves 23 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and numerous beloved nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by best friends, Jackie Lawless, Kokomo, and Donna Savoie, Fort Myers, Florida.
Sharon was loving and caring and will be missed by all. She loved dolls, thrift shops, and her dog, Abby. Sharon kept a close connection to all family and friends through Facebook, where she loved to share family photos, prayerful quotes, beauty, and humor.
