Sandra Richmond Deaton

Sandra Sue Richmond Deaton, 71, of Kokomo, went home to be with the Lord Thursday, Oct. 4, 2018. She was born March 7, 1947, in London, Kentucky, to Floyd and Alberta Brooks Richmond.
Sandra had a love for gospel music, dogs, bird watching, gardening, shopping, and antiquing. Among her favorite pastimes, she enjoyed spending time with family and special cousin, Marsha White, reading the "Upper Room" and the Bible. She was a loving daughter, mother, sister, aunt and grandmother who loved, honored and served Christ in everything she did. Her favorite Bible verse was Luke 11:2-4.
Sandra was preceded in death by her father, Floyd Richmond.
Survivors include her mother, Alberta Brooks Richmond, of Kokomo; daughters, Melany Deaton, of Kokomo, Chanda (Jeff) Trett, of Kokomo, and Holly (Michael) Marciano of Fort Myers, Florida; grandchildren, Ron, Emily, and Alex of Lafayette, Joshua (Hilary) and Colby of Fort Myers; great-grandchild, Aubrey; sister, Sherri (Steve) Belcher, Fountain Hills, Arizona; and nephew, Shon (Kirsten) Belcher, of Venezuela.
A committal service will be held at 12:30 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 7, in Albright Cemetery, Kokomo.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Sandra may be given to the Kokomo Humane Society or the American Diabetes Association.
The family of Sandra would like to thank the staff and physicians of Community Howard Regional Health for the love, support and care given to our mother. Also, a special thanks to the chaplains at Community Howard for their kind words of comfort during this difficult time.
