Ruth Ann's Story
Ruth Ann Toler, 91, of South Bend, Indiana, formerly of R.R. 1 Bringhurst, went to be with the Lord Monday, Jan. 15, 2018, at Signature Healthcare of South Bend. She was born Jan. 3, 1927, in Grant County, the daughter of Amzie and Jessie Stuart Marley.
She was a Licensed Practical Nurse and was employed by the Burlington Clinic for several years and was a member of Morning Star Church Kokomo. She was a loving mother and grandmother, a wonderful cook, loved bird watching and enjoyed traveling.
She was preceded in death by her parents; former husband, Bob Toler; a great-grandson, Landon; two brothers; and seven sisters.
She is survived by a daughter, Joyce Ann Collins and her husband, Stevan, of Granger, Indiana; and a son, David R Toler and his wife, Beverly, of Avon, Indiana; her sister, Lois Schimmel, of Frankfort, Indiana; her grandchildren, Katie Collins, of Chicago, and Scott Collins, of Glendale, California, Heather Bray, of Brownsburg, Indiana, and Katie Bray, of Brownsburg, Indiana; and great-grandchildren, Logan, Addison and Jacob.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday Jan. 20, 2018, at Stout and Son Neptune Chapel, in Burlington, with visitation from 11 a.m. until the time of service. Pastor Greg Reed will be officiating. Burial will be in South Union Cemetery.
