Russell D. Rogers
Russell worked for ComDisco Inc. and later was employed by the McHenry County Conservation District as a ranger for 12 years. He was also quite the craftsman, specializing in furniture and clock woodwork. An outdoorsman, Russell enjoyed keeping bees and adored his dog, Pearl. He will be remembered for his dedication to being a devoted husband and father, as well as his great sense of humor.
He leaves behind his wife, Sandy; his sons, Travis (Elizabeth) Rogers and Jake (Patricia Dominguez) Rogers; his parents, Bud and Norma Rogers; two siblings, Bob Rogers and Debbie (Jeff) Cardwell; a sister-in-law, Rhonda Rogers; his mother-in-law, Theresa Smith; his sisters-in-law, Linda (Scott) Malicki and Paula (David) Ugalde; a brother-in-law, Kevin (Denise) Smith; and many nieces and nephews, Robert, Winston, Wyatt Rogers, Noah Caldwell, Molly (Dustin Farrer) Rogers, Jamie (Charles) Calvert.
Russell was preceded in death by his brother, Buddy Dale Rogers, and his father-in-law, Merle "Smitty" Smith.
Friends and neighbors are invited to visit with Russell's family from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday, June 8, 2018, at Stout & Son Funeral Home, 200 E. Main St., Russiaville. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Sunset Memory Garden Cemetery.
