Rose Marie Dotson

September 19, 1946 - July 20, 2018

Rose Marie Cross Bratton Dotson was born Sept. 19, 1946, in Kokomo, and passed away July 20, 2018, in a hospital in Sun City, Arizona.
She graduated from Kokomo High School, attended Ball State University, and graduated from Wesleyan College in Marion, Indiana, with a degree in business.
When Rose was 17 years old, she entered a beauty pageant as Miss Kokomo Tribune at Bunker Hill Air Force Base. She was selected Miss Congeniality.
She worked as a life guard at the Kokomo Seashore, a carrier for the Kokomo Tribune, a saleswoman for Prudential Insurance, Hostess and Keebler.
She and her husband moved to Sun City, Arizona, in September 2001 where she worked for American Express and he worked for the VA Hospital.
Surviving family are her husband, Mark Dotson, Sun City, Arizona; mother, Phyllis M. Marks, Kokomo; brother, Arthur B. Cross, Kokomo; two sons, Tim Bratton, Michigan, and Chris Bratton, Kokomo; grandson, Scott Bratton, Indianapolis; three great-grandsons, Triscin Bratton, Hayden Taylor-Bratton and Timothy Taylor.
She was preceded in death by her father, Leo B. Cross, Kokomo; stepfather, Otis E. Marks, Peru and Kokomo; grandparents, Harry and Mary Shoemaker, Fort Wayne; U.B. Cross, Kokomo.
A private service will be at a later date.

R.I.P. Rose. We were in many clases together from grades 1-7 at McKinley School.
