Roberta Ann Graf (Smith) Taylor, 74, passed away Sunday, Jan. 7, 2018, at Community Howard Regional Health in Kokomo. Roberta was born to Joseph W. Graf and Rieta (Duncan) Graf in Kokomo on June 25, 1943.
She graduated from Sharpsville High School in 1961 and attended I.U. Kokomo. She was a member of the Tipton County Historical Society and Sharpsville Chapter O.E.S. She retired in 1996 from Delco Electronics, where she was a member of UAW 292. She served two terms on the Liberty Township Advisory Board and attended Liberty Baptist Church.
On Oct. 12, 1963 in Sharpsville, she married Dewayne J. Smith, and they later divorced. On Jan. 21, 1994, in Tipton, she married Jimmie L. Taylor, and he passed Feb. 19, 2009.
She is survived by her daughter, Kelly Smith, Dublin, Ohio; sons, Brian J. Smith (Sarah), Cambridge, Massachusetts, and Mark Smith (Aimee), Kokomo; a stepson, Mark Taylor (Jenny), Delphi; three stepdaughters, Sharon McGinnis (Kenneth), Charlotte Oberleas (Sid) and Linda Curran (Curt); grandchildren, Bailey and Claire Smith; stepgrandchildren, Jessica Hooley (Chris), Andy Taylor, Keith Huff, Sgt. Kraig Huff, USMC, Krista Huff, Kendra McGinnis, John Oberleas (London), Lauren Kivela (Jim), Zachary Curran; several great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers-in-law, and two sisters-in-law.
Services for Roberta will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 13, 2017, at Ellers Mortuary, Webster Street Chapel, 3400 S. Webster St. Friends may visit from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Burial will follow at Sharpsville Cemetery.
