He was preceded in death by his wife, Joann (Grogan) Ramsey, Fort Mitchell, Alabama; parents, LeRoy "Bud" and Ann (Englert) Ramsey Hiatt, both of Kokomo; and his sister, Marjorie (Ramsey) Parks, Dandridge, Tennessee.
Bob is survived by his three loving daughters and their husbands, Debbie Eldridge (Kevin), Clarksville, Arkansas, Melony Rayle (Ron), Westfield, Indiana, and Cindy Monroe (Coy), Sheridan, Indiana. He enlisted in the United States Army in 1953 and served with the 11th Airborne unit as a helicopter mechanic at Fort Benning, Georgia, until 1956. It is there that he met Alice Joann Grogan. Bob and Joann were married in Columbus, Georgia, on Oct. 28, 1956. They moved to Kokomo and Bob returned to Continental Steel, where he worked for 29 years as an electrician and foreman, retiring in 1985. The Ramseys were dedicated members of St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church for 29 years. Upon retirement, he and Joann moved to Fort Mitchell, Alabama, to be closer to the Grogan family. After Joann's passing in 2001, Bob moved back to Indiana. He lived in Sheridan for several years, ultimately moving to Westfield.
Bob was a man of honor and integrity. He strived to live the good life according to his Lord and Savior. He was a devoted husband and loving father. He will be greatly missed by all and will live on in the hearts of those who loved him most.
