Rick H. Varney, 62, Kokomo, passed away at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 31, 2018, at his home. He was born April 20, 1955, in Kokomo, the son of Harold and Janice (Casey) Varney. On Sept. 5, 1987, he married Sharry L. Anderson, and she survives.
Rick was a 1973 graduate of Western High School. He's a retired self-employed owner and operator and was an outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, and pursuing Big Foot.
Rick is survived by his wife, Sharry L. Varney; mother, Janice Eldridge, Ocala, Florida; children, Angie (Bill) Dillon, Bringhurst, and Donavon (Riannon) McKinney, Lafayette; and grandchildren, Brand Dillon, Darren Dillon, Kayley McKinney, Jaydan Riley, Kai McKinney, Koltin Jordan.
Rick was preceded in death by his father, Harold Varney; sister, Vicky Ferguson; and stepfather, Jim Eldridge.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 4, 2018, at Stout & Son Funeral Home, 200 E. Main St., Russiaville, with Steve Cole officiating. Burial will follow in Twin Springs Cemetery. Friends are invited to visit with the family from noon to 2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
