Renita L. Magnett, 44, Scottsburg, passed away at 12:32 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 18, 2017, at Norton Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky. She was born Feb. 23, 1973, in Kokomo. She was the daughter of Lester and Doris (Brown) Bean.
Renita was a 1991 graduate of Western High School. She was a homemaker and had worked for Chrysler Corp. for ten years. She was a member of the 4-H Club with horses, and the FFA. Renita enjoyed playing softball, earning the highest batting average at the Russiaville Little League, even with the boys. She loved trail riding on horses, boating, four wheeling and camping. Renita especially loved spending time with her grandchildren, and farm life with all the animals, including her dog "Arrow."
Renita is survived by her mother, Doris Bean, Kokomo; fiance, Walter Hahn, Scottsburg; future mother-in-law, Carol Swift; sister, Sheila Mayer, Kokomo; stepchildren, Ashley Green, Anna Clark, Johnny Hahn, Dustin Magnett and Jason Magnett; grandchildren, Jacob Green, Kylie Green, Irvin Banks, Sophia Clark and Preston Clark; nieces, Bethany Babcock and Hannah Babcock; and nephews, Joel Babcock, Micah Babcock and Christian Babcock.
Renita was preceded in death by her father, Lester Bean; and grandparents.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday Oct. 24, 2017, at Stout & Son Funeral Home, 200 E. Main St., Russiaville, with Steve Cole officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memory Garden Cemetery. Friends are invited to visit with the family from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
