Rebecca Mae Love, 81, Kokomo, passed away Monday, Nov. 6, 2017. She was born Dec. 13, 1935, in Judsonia, Arkansas, to the late Herschel and Blanche (Sturch) Gilbert. Rebecca was married to Charles L. Love in Arkansas, and then they moved to Kokomo when Charles found work with Continental Steel. She and Charles would later divorce.
Rebecca worked as a thrift shop clerk for The Salvation Army for over 20 years. She had attended Kokomo Gospel Tabernacle Church until it disbanded. She enjoyed sewing, making quilts, and was an avid fan of Elvis Presley.
Rebecca is survived by her sons, Robin (Linda) J. Love, Charles A. Love, and Jerry L. (Kathy Jo) Love; grandchildren, Jason Scott Love, Jennifer Ricketts, Angie Stinson, and Joshua Love; great-grandchildren, Kaitlynn Ricketts, Jenna Aikmon, and Tori Aikmon; and one sister.
In addition to her parents, Rebecca was preceded in death by three brothers and a son, Joseph A. Love.
A public visitation for Rebecca will be from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 9, at Sunset Memory Garden Funeral Home, with a funeral service immediately following. Rebecca will be laid to rest at Sunset Memory Garden Cemetery.
