Ramona J. Kimbrough, 77, Windfall, died Saturday, Dec. 16, 2017, at her residence. She was born Jan. 10, 1940, in Elwood, the daughter of Charles and Gertrude (Gardner) Cox.
Ramona was a 1958 graduate of Wendell L. Willkie High School. She was a homemaker, and previously worked at Ex-Cello in Elwood and the Windfall School cafeteria. She married Danny J. Kimbrough April 15, 1960. Ramona was a member of Windfall Christian Church. Ramona enjoyed dinners with friends, trips to Las Vegas, Colts football, the Indianapolis 500 and playing euchre. Ramona was a volunteer at Tipton Hospital and was devoted to her family.
Her family includes son, Scott (Rhonda) Kimbrough, Windfall; daughter, Lisa (Jovon) Rayl, Sharpsville; sister, Olive Davis, Windfall; 10 grandchildren, Danielle (husband Brandon) Sexton, Greenwood, Kaitlyn, Libby, Jared, Noland, Zachari and Cayleigh Kimbrough, all of Windfall, Nathan, Logan and Holden Rayl, all of Sharpsville; great-granddaughter, Addison Sexton, and another expected in 2018; daughter-in-law, Connie Kimbrough; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Ramona was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Danny Kimbrough; son, Danny "Mike" Kimbrough; and sister, Georgia McIntyre.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 21, 2017, at Copher-Fesler-May Funeral Home, Elwood, with the Rev. Carl Roudebush and the Rev. David Stout officiating. Burial will be in Brookside Cemetery in Windfall. Visitation will be 3 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 20, 2017, at the funeral home.
