Pauline Ruth Davis, 91, Burlington, passed away at 11:45 p.m. July 18, 2017, at St. Vincent Kokomo. She was born June 7, 1926, in Howard County to Leon and Alta (Rex) Ray. On Aug. 17, 1943, Pauline married Gene E. Davis in Burlington, and he passed away in March 2003.
Pauline attended Carrollton and Burlington Schools. She worked for 24 years, retiring in 1992, as a sterile core clerk in surgery for St. Joseph Hospital. Pauline was a member of Crossroads Community Christian Church and was a lifelong resident of Burlington.
Survivors include her daughters, Jane Ann (Dan Snell) Long, Middlefork, Janis (Dan) Diekman, Lebanon; grandchildren, Krista K. (Richard Kingery) Morris, Frankfort, Greg A. Diekman, Fort Collins, Colorad, Kirk A. (Heidi) Long; great-grandchildren, Austin (Kayley Fouts), Camden, Taylor Morris, Kileigh, Autumn, Emily, Oliver Long, Shelby Kingery; and great-great-grandchild, Brently Morris.
Pauline was preceded in death by her parents, Leon and Alta Ray; husband, Gene E. Davis; two sisters, one brother; and son-in-law, Richard Long.
Funeral services will be at 5 p.m. Friday, July 21, 2017, at Stout & Son Funeral Home, Neptune Chapel, 44 Michigan St., Burlington, with Pastor Dan Butcher officiating. Burial will follow in Burlington Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3 to 5 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
