I am so sorry to hear about Paul. I got to know him in my junior and senior year of high school in Levittown. He was a few years older than me. There was nothing not to like about Paul. My condolences once again. I'm sure he will be missed by many.

What a loss. I pray for all the family and Emily. It has been a hard three months. Paul was a good friend, a great neighbor, and was clearly dedicated to kids. Every time I think of Paul Linder I smile. I can't help it. When I moved to Kokomo it was Paul who took me around and showed me the best places to eat, what the cigar shop really was, and helped me meet everyone. I can still see him in his track suite running around the neighborhood with his dog and the plastic bag. The Rooster was a runner! He was also a loyal BSU Cardinal. If I heard one more story about the BSU Alumni Golf outing homecoming, or guess who is a BSU alumni, I'd cry. Chirp chirp was invented by Paul 19 year...s ago. He loved to brag on his alma mater. Any time you struck up a conversation his kids would be another topic he loved to discuss. He was so proud of all his children and talked about their successes all the time.
Paul loved being an educator. After he retired, I had him speak in some grad classes on multiple occasions. He had a great message about loving children first. When he moved in with Emily I think I was helping move some things out of his condo, and he sold me a 25 year old washer for $100 bucks. I got another nine years out of it. It was still running but I was so old and beat up my wife wanted something a little "nicer." The dryer just gave up the ghost about a year ago. I have a dozen stories and they all make me smile. Paul invested in lots of people and the interest from his investment is still paying off today. I will miss him.

My heart goes out to Janelle, Heather, and Doug, as your losses have been great.
I worked many years with your dad, “Pauly Baga Donuts.” We went through many ups and downs at Central Middle School, but we were always there for each other. After a difficult day, we would linger in his office,
listening to Motown and doing the Mashed Potatoes! He was dear to so many students and teachers.

Very sad to hear of Paul's passing. During my 37 years of teaching I was lucky enough to spend 28 of those in Kokomo and even luckier to work with Paul. Definitely one of the good guys.

I worked with Paul beginning in 1978 and ending with his retirement. We had a special relationship; he seemed more like a brother to me. We called each other names and made each other laugh. When we were administrators together, we were always there for each other after hard times. He always brought in fancy coffee for me.
Sometimes, after a difficult day at work, we would linger in the office and bee bop to his old 50’s tunes. He could really do the mashed potatoes! We enjoyed being the mom and pop to troubled kids, and playing the King and Queen of Central at a feast.
Pauly was good and fair to students and helpful parents. He was a great supporter of teachers, always ready with a
... joke or an arm in support. I miss him .

My heart goes out to Janelle, Heather, and Doug, for you have had to endure the deaths
of both parents. No one can ever love you more than your parents did. God bless you.
