Patsy Jean David, 86, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, Wednesday, Dec. 6, 2017. She was born Dec. 14, 1930, to William and Elise (Robertson) Long in Howard County.
Patsy graduated from Clay Township School in 1948. She worked at Dukes Memorial Hospital for 40 years. She also had worked at Wabash Valley Bank and for Dr. Fred Morrison. She enjoyed watching her grandchildren playing sports and being around family and friends. Family and friends were a very important part of her life. She was also a member of Peoria Church.
Patsy is survived by a brother, James (Sharon) Long, Kokomo; sons, Mike (Karen) David, Huntington, and Max (Gloria) David, Peru; daughters, Cindy (Larry) Nealis, Mexico, Lisa Caldwell, Brenda Hollering (Todd Youngblood), and Trish (Steve) West, all of Peru. Also surviving are grandchildren, Michelle (Bert) Walczak, Darien, Georgia, Aaron David, Indianapolis, Joshua David, Arizona, Daniel (Marie) David, Peru, Angie (Dave) Wallace, Spencerville, William Caldwell, Indiana, Kristie (Scott) Truex, Denver, Travis (Katie) Caldwell, Peru, Samantha Caldwell (David Dushney), Ohio, and Lance (Lydia) Potts, Noblesville; and 17 great-grandchildren. Also surviving are lifelong friends, Grace Klein and family.
She was preceded in death by her parents; ex-husband, Edwin David; and lifelong friend, Mary Jane See.
Visitation will be 2 to 7 p.m. Monday, Dec. 11, 2017, at Flowers-Leedy Funeral Home, 105 W. Third St., Peru, Indiana. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 12, at the funeral home, with Pastor Bob Clark and Pastor Brian Daniels officiating. Burial will follow at Peoria Cemetery in Miami County.
