Mimi Suzette Ford, 51, Kokomo, passed away on Tuesday Dec. 12 at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis.
Mimi was well-known in the Kokomo community as a leader who was instrumental in bringing new businesses to the area, notably Old Navy and Starbucks. Mimi will be remembered for her hard work, intellect, inspirational leadership, and willingness to help anyone whom she met. She earned an associate's degree in paralegal studies from Ivy Tech and a bachelor's degree in humanities from Indiana University.
Mimi was dedicated to her family whom she loved dearly. She was preceded in death by her father, Stephen; and mother, Elizabeth.
She is survived by her son, Stephen; five siblings, Melissa, Lauraine, Michael, Matthew and Madonna; and a wealth of nieces and nephews.
All those who knew Mimi are invited to attend a celebration of her life on Saturday, Dec. 16 from 2 to 5 p.m. at 1002 Birchwood Dr., Kokomo.
