Milinda K. Sandefur, 60, Sharpsville, passed away at 1:13 p.m. Monday, Jan. 29, 2018, at her home after a short bought with cancer. She was born June 14, 1957, in Argos, Indiana, the daughter of Donald Gene and Joyce (Eaton) Rood. On Sept. 25, 1999, she married Mike Sandefur, and he survives.
Milinda was a 1975 graduate of Tri-Central High School. She had worked for Premier Hospice as an office assistant, and enjoyed sewing, making cakes, and camping. Milinda had a personal relationship with God, and loved to hear her husband sing gospel music.
Milinda is survived by her husband, Mike; mother, Joyce Butcher, Florida; children, Bryan (Marcy) Reese, Sharpsville, Kalup (Kristina) Sandefur, Whitestown; brother, Nick (Rhonda) Rood, Florida; grandchildren, Brendon Reese, Charlie Sandefur, Harper Sandefur, and Ruby Mae Sandefur.
Milinda was preceded in death by her father, her mother- and father-in-law, Helen and Leon Sandefur.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Honey Creek Missionary Baptist Church, 220 Nashville St., Russiaville, with Pastors Jim Stevenson and Terry Russell officiating. Entombment will follow in Sunset Memory Garden. Friends may visit with the family from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the church.
Memorial contributions may be made in Milinda's memory to the American Cancer Society or to Boyer Funeral Home to assist with final expenses. Boyer Funeral Home in Sharpsville assisted the family with arrangements.
