Michael Lewis Parker, 68, Carmel, passed away at the University of Ohio Medical Center, Columbus, Ohio, at 6:23 p.m. Tuesday, March 6, 2018. Michael was born Oct. 14, 1949, in Logansport, to the late Richard M. Parker and Carolyn Sue Parker (DeWeese).
Michael graduated from Clinton Central in 1967. He had taken various classes at Indiana University. He joined the U.S. Marines and achieved the rank of corporal. He served during the Vietnam War from 1967 to 1969. Michael worked for Chrysler for 37 years as a supervisor.
Michael is survived by his companion, Jan McNutt; daughter, Jenny Parker; granddaughter, Sarah Cuttriss; brother, Daniel Parker (Deborah); and sister, Lori Dukes.
Michael was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Kevin Parker and Phillip Parker; sister and brother-in-law, Linda and Gerald Kendall; and brother-in-law, Jeff Robertson.
A celebration of life service will be at 3 p.m. Saturday, March 17, 2018, at Stout & Son Funeral Home, 200 E. Main St., Russiaville, with Pastor Phil Collier officiating.
