Michael T. Davis, 55, Middlefork, passed away Sunday, Oct. 22, 2017, at IU Arnett Hospital, Lafayette. He was born Jan. 21, 1962, in Kokomo to Larry and Nancy (Brandano) Davis.
Michael was retired from GM. He loved his animals and they loved him; he kept chickens, dogs, cats and even took an orphaned squirrel or raccoon on occasion. He enjoyed bass fishing and was an excellent cook. Michael enjoyed antiquing and could really wheel-and-deal, but also had a generous spirit.
In 1984, Michael married Tammy Cheek and they celebrated over 33 years of marriage. Tammy survives with their son, Anthony (Katie Huffer) Davis, Middlefork; two brothers, Larry (Sharon) Davis, Michigantown, and John Davis, Greentown; five sisters, Darlene (Larry) Johnson, Frankfort, Rhonda Davis, Michigantown, Felicia (Bob) Shoemaker, Frankfort, Jodi (Doug) Wilburn, Lafayette, and Mary (Mike) Crider, Frankfort; several nieces and nephews; great nieces and great nephews and all of his other kids he and Tammy took into their home over the years.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 26, 2017, at the Genda Funeral Home in Frankfort. The funeral service will begin at 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
