Marilyn M. Welliver, 85, Kokomo, passed away at 6:15 p.m. Saturday, May 12, 2018, at Carmel Health and Living. She was born Feb. 7, 1933, in Tipton County, to Fay D. and Jennie (Orr) Shockley.
Marilyn graduated from Forest High School in 1952 and worked for the Kokomo Center School Corp. administration for 30 years before retiring in 2007. She enjoyed sewing, gardening and playing the piano and was a member of Main Street Christian Church in Russiaville and the Forest Alumni Association.
Survivors include her children, Phillip (Rita) Welliver, Brownsburg, Kathy (Rick) Walden, Knightstown, and Scott Welliver, Kokomo; grandchildren, Andi (Matt Thomas) Welliver, Justin (Heather Johnston-Welliver) Welliver, Diane (Victor John) Walden, Eric (Michelle) Walden, Sam Walden and Aimee Walden; 12 great-grandchildren and one more due in October; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one great-grandchild, three brothers and two sisters.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday, May 18, 2018, at Main Street Christian Church, 220 W. Main St., Russiaville, with the Rev. David Woods officiating. Burial will follow in Kempton Cemetery. Friends are invited to visit with the family from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Stout & Son Funeral Home, 200 E. Main St., Russiaville.
