Margie Louise (Taylor) Dodd, 80, Kokomo, went to be with her Lord and Savior in the early hours on March 2, 2018. "Angels above, below, and all around you"
Margie was born on July 14, 1937, to Myra Marie (Bewley) in East Prairie, Missouri.
Margie married Harley Dodd on Sept. 6, 1958, in Kokomo, Indiana.
She is survived by her beloved husband of nearly 60 years, Harley Allen Dodd; sister Mary (Don) Anderson; children Linda Dodd, Donna (Larry) Massey, Deloris (James) Shelly, and Darlene (Greg) Avery; grandchildren Tasha (Amber Kelley) Dodd, Jess (Micah) Dodd, Rob (Katt Vannett) Booth, Korey White, and Kevin (Cassie) Shelly. She is also survived by five great-grandchildren Destiny, Ashlyn, Chase, Malachi and Connor, one great-grandson on the way, and several nieces and nephews. Throughout the years Margie and Harley adopted by love several kids, grandkids, and great-grandkids whom they loved dearly. The family would like to express their love and appreciation for Margie's best friend of nearly 50 years, Betty Willis for being with her throughout the years.
Margie received her diploma from Kokomo High School in her forties, showing her determination to set the standard for her family. Margie was a lifetime member of Pathway of Hope Church, where she taught Sunday school and strengthened her faith in her Lord and Savior. She enjoyed reading her daily prayers, caring for others and her family.
The family would like to express their gratitude to Dr. Phiefer and staff, Great Lakes Caring, Comfort Keepers, and Comfort Home Health for their compassionate care over the years.
She was preceded in death by her mother Myra, brother Sonny (Peg) Harvey, Beth (Sam) Lewis, Ree (Pratt) Bailey, and Jo (Bill) Huffman.
Services will be on Tuesday, March 6, 2018, at 7 p.m., with visitation from 4 p.m. until the time of service with Pastor Matt officiating at Ellers Mortuary, Webster Street Chapel.
