Marcia A. Many, 74, Kokomo, is now in Heaven with our Lord. She passed away peacefully at Aperion Care, surrounded by loved ones at 1:50 p.m. Saturday March 10, 2018. She was born Jan. 5, 1944, in Kokomo, to the late Pastor Donald P. and Delores Jean (Buckles) Duncan.
Marcia retired from General Motors after 37 years of service. She loved all the things Dave built or made her, her cats, sitting on her patio watching the hummingbirds and the wild animals that came around, shopping, and going out to eat with her sister, Shirley Simon, and friends. She also enjoyed making holiday baskets for her niece and nephews.
She was deeply touched by Community Howard Regional Health staff and Dr. Moonesinghe who helped her and Dave remarry while she was in the hospital. Dave and Marcia were originally married in 1984, and were married for five years. They divorced, and after five months apart, stayed together until they remarried at the hospital on March 1, 2018.
Marcia is survived by her husband, Dave Many; siblings, Shirley L. Simon, and Joseph P. Duncan; aunt, Peggy Duncan; and many nieces and nephews.
Marcia was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Donna Floyd; brother, Michael Kent Duncan; maternal grandparents, Albert Buckles and Eva Coy; and paternal grandparents, John and Hazel Duncan.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Thursday, March 15, 2018, at Shirley & Stout Funeral Home & Crematory, 1315 W. Lincoln Road, with Steve Cole officiating. Burial will follow in Crown Point Cemetery. Friends are invited to visit with the family from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
