Marcia Kay (Brosher) Ford Marcia Kay (Brosher) Ford, 69, Kokomo, Indiana, formerly of Redkey, Indiana, passed away Tuesday, March 12, 2019, peacefully while in the company of family members at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana. Marcia was born in Muncie, Indiana, on Aug. 28, 1949, a daughter of the late Ruth I. (Bousman) and James N. Brosher.
She was a 1967 graduate of Redkey High School, received her bachelor's degree in home economics and master's degree in library science from Ball State University. She worked as a librarian at the Jay County Public Library in Portland, Indiana, and the Kokomo-Howard County Public Library in Kokomo, until her retirement. She was a member of the Howard County Genealogical Society, Indiana Genealogical Society, and the Kokomo Piecemakers Quilt Guild and enjoyed genealogy, quilting, and reading.
Marcia is survived by two sons, Trevor R. Ford (wife Tanya), Travis A. Ford (wife Krissi); one brother, Thomas N. Brosher (wife Georgia); one sister, Norma I. Sockrider (husband Larry); three grandchildren, Gavin R. Ford, Mason T. Ford and Adalyn N. Ford; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends are invited to call from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, March 16, 2019, at MJS Mortuaries - Redkey Chapel. Funeral services will follow at 1 p.m., with Pastor Chris Nelson officiating. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery, Redkey.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Genealogical Department at the Kokomo-Howard County Public Library, 220 N. Union St. Kokomo, IN 46901. Arrangements have been entrusted to MJS Mortuaries - Redkey Chapel.

I knew Marcia from Library Science classes and by seeing her in and around Portland. She was always fun to gab with. My sympathy to all of you.

A lovely lady. I knew her though the Kokomo Library and Ho. Co. Genealogy Soc. I am so sadden for your loss. She touched many lives here. And is missed. Prayers and thoughts are with you all.

It is always hard to loose a parent, family member or friend. I know of Marcia through the quilt guild. My condolences to all family and friends. Lean on the Lord and he will help you through your loss.

I did not know her but I know my mother did. My mother was Candy Jones and she passed away 6 months ago. She was a member of the genealogy society and worked in Kokomo library for many years too. I am sorry for your huge loss, may God bless you all during the time to come.
