Lucille (Kinsler) Reed, 95, Kokomo, died at 9:25 a.m. Monday, Sept. 4, 2017, at Primrose Retirement Community, Kokomo. Born Feb. 9, 1922, in Frankfort, to Emil and Marie (Jones) Fearnow. She married Francis Kinsler on Aug. 1, 1940, and he preceded her in death. She then married Richard Reed on Dec. 19, 1969, and he survives.
Lucille was a 1940 graduate of Scircleville High School. She lived in Frankfort before moving to Kokomo in 1969. Lucille was a homemaker and also worked as a hostess for the Williamsburg Inn in Frankfort, worked at Mallory Controls, and retired from Delco in 1985 after 13 years. She was a member of the Antioch Christian Church and was a member of the Mothers Club. She enjoyed gardening, growing flowers, making flower arrangements, cooking, art and taking care of and loving her family. Every visit to Frankfort included a visit with her best friend, Thelma Whitinger.
Lucille is survived by husband, Richard Reed, Kokomo; daughter, Rita (Bruce) Carter, Kokomo; stepdaughter, Angie (Denny) Smith, Gainesville, Florida; three stepsons, Michael Reed, Toledo, Ohio, David Reed, Cincinnati, Ohio, Kyle Reed, Watertown, Massachusetts; sister, Wilma McQuinn, Forest; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two sons, Steve Kinsler and Larry Kinsler, and a brother, Maurice Fearnow.
Visitation will be 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, Sept. 9, 2017, at Goodwin Funeral Home, Frankfort. Funeral services will follow at noon at the funeral home. Burial will be in Green Lawn Memorial Park.
