Kevin William Woodard, 59, passed away peacefully Tuesday, March 6, 2018, while surrounded by his loving family at St. Vincent Kokomo. Kevin was born Jan. 9, 1959, in Rochester, Indiana, to Beverly Hunter-Woodard and the late Sam William Woodard.
Kevin graduated from Taylor High School with the Class of 1977. Following high school, Kevin was self-employed as a carpenter. On May 22, 1986, he was married to Michele Schaeffer in Gatlinburg, Tennessee. They later divorced, but remained friends.
Kevin attended Indian Heights Grace Brethren Church in Kokomo. He enjoyed watching and collecting movies, particularly horror and science-fiction. Other hobbies that Kevin enjoyed included bike riding, fishing, bowling, cooking, and gardening. Kevin was also an avid Indianapolis Colts fan.
Kevin is survived by his mother, Beverly Phillabaum, Kokomo; son, Samuel T. Woodard, Kokomo; daughters, Monica Elizabeth (Ryan) Alexander, Montgomery, Illinois, and Kenlee (Chris) Reinking, Noblesville, Indiana; sisters, Deanna (Mark) Graham, Vevay, Indiana, and Loretta Jaenicke, Kokomo; stepbrother, Richard Phillabaum, Walton, Indiana; stepsisters, Sharon (Ralph) Porter, Kokomo, and Peggy Smith, Greentown; granddaughters, Rylee Faith Alexander, Lyric Hope Alexander, and Elayna Grace Reinking; nephews, Jason Jaenicke, Travis Jaenicke, and Nathan (Taylor) Graham; and niece, Nicole Graham.
There will be a celebration of life for Kevin at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 10, at Indian Heights Grace Brethren Church, with a meal following.
Memorial contributions in Kevin's name may be made to the Child Evangelism Fellowship of Indiana-Six County Chapter, or the Indian Heights Grace Brethren Church, Kokomo.
