Kathleen Virginia (Mitchell) Schultz, 71, Greentown, passed away at 5:12 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 16, 2017, at Century Villa Healthcare, Greentown. She was born to William and Toni Mitchell in Detroit, Michigan, on Nov. 25, 1945. She married Tony R. Shultz in Wabash, Indiana, on Dec. 13, 1963, and he survives.
Kathleen graduated from Wabash High School in 1963 and went on to earn her LPN license. She had worked as a nurse for Community Howard Regional Hospital 30 years and Dr. Tignor for 12 years.
Kathleen enjoyed gardening, cooking and baking. She had won first place in her gardening. She also enjoyed quilting and was an avid reader. Along with her husband, they ministered at Miller's Manor in Wabash for 15 years.
Survivors include her husband; sister, Linda Mitchell (Kenneth Neeper), Denver, Colorado; brother, John (Jan) Mitchell, Bloomington, Indiana; nieces; Kathryn Mitchell Neeper, Washington, D.C., and Coleen Mitchell, Lexington, Kentucky; nephew, Michael (Kristen) Mitchell; and great nephew, Wyatt Mitchell, Berkley, California.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Family and friends may visit from noon to 1 p.m. Monday at Hasler & Stout Funeral Home, 112 E. Main St., Greentown. Funeral services will follow visitation at 1 p.m., with Pastor Steve Bluse officiating. Burial will follow the service in Jerome Cemetery.
