Judith Isabelle Shotwell, Taylor, Pennsylvania, died Monday, Sept. 11, 2017, at Regional Hospital of Scranton. Her husband of 60 years is Ira J. Shotwell Jr. They were married in June 1957.
Born in Kokomo, daughter of the late Chalmer and Frances Merrell Hillis, she was a graduate of Kokomo High School and had worked as a bookkeeper for Citizens Savings Bank. She was a member of the Church of God in Taylor and the Order of Eastern Star, Martha Washington Chapter 3.
Judy enjoyed crocheting and crossword puzzles. She also loved going to Florida and spending time with her family.
Also surviving are a son, Ira J. Shotwell III and his wife, Francine, Spring Brook; a daughter, Beth Hopkins and fiance, Anthony Zaleski, Dickson City; other son, Randy Shotwell and wife, Cheryl, Fredericksburg, Virginia; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; a brother, Harry Hillis; and a sister, Janice Riebe, both of Kokomo.
She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Nancy Weiss.
The funeral will be Thursday at Jacob Davis Funeral Home, 422 S. Main St., Taylor. Interment was in Milwaukee Cemetery.
