Judith "Judy" C. Silvernail

Judith Judy C. Silvernail Judith "Judy" C. Silvernail passed away at her Kokomo home on January 31, 2019 at 3 a.m. She was born in Cass County to Ross and Myrtle Marie (Rayl) Cornell both deceased on June 19, 1945.
Judy was one of twenty-two 1963 graduates of Young America High School, Young America, Indiana. After graduating from Indiana University, she was employed for over thirty five years by the State of Indiana FSSA as a Welfare Caseworker, Food Stamp Consultant, WIN Specialist, and an Administrative Complaints and Hearings Judge. She was very proud that she had assisted ladies in becoming self-sufficient, employed, and off welfare rolls. She was a member of the Retired Indiana Employees Association (RIPEA), the Howard County Chapter RIPEA, St. Anne's Guild, St. Andrew Episcopal Church (Kokomo), and a former member of Trinity Episcopal Church (Indianapolis). Judy was an avid reader and loved her PT Cruiser.
She is survived by many cousins, loving close friends in Kokomo, Indianapolis, Cloverdale, and her beloved cats, Cassie and Oliver.

A memorial service is planned for late April at St. Andrew Episcopal Church, 602 W. Superior, Kokomo, with Rev. Dr. Benjamin Anthony as celebrant and Fr. Richard Lightsey, co-celebrant. Donations, in Judy's memory, may be made to the Kokomo Humane Society, 729 E. Hoffer, Kokomo, 46902 for cat/kitten needs.
