Judith 'Jody''s Story
Judith "Jody" Eileen Mata, 55, passed away on Jan. 5, 2018, at Community Howard Regional Health in Kokomo. Judith was born to Daniel Harney and Joan Williams (Crabtree) in Jamestown, Tennessee on Oct. 1, 1962. She married Javier Mata on June 16, 2001, and he survives her.
Jody was a Maconaquah High School 1981 graduate. She then went to earn her associates degree in Business. She worked at Delco for 16 years. Jody's daughters were the pride and joy of her life; she loved to go shopping and watching movies with them. Jody enjoyed spending time with her loved ones, her dog and grand-dogs and just relaxing at home.
Judith is survived by her father, Ermal and his wife, Marcella; husband, Javier Mata; daughters, Tarja Harney and fiance, Christopher Alford, and Selena Mata; brothers, Gene Williams and Michael (Rie) Williams; and nieces and nephews, Shingo, Antonio, Madison, Samuel, Christopher, Rhys, Savanna, Piper, Gemma, Santiago, Kason, Solimar and Sebastian.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Daniel and Joan, her grandparents and uncles.
Family will receive friends from noon to 2 p.m. Wednesday Jan. 10 at Ellers Mortuary Webster Street Chapel, with services to follow at 2 p.m., officiated by Deacon Morrow.
