Juanita Kessler, 84, of Kokomo, went to be with the Lord on Dec. 12, 2017. She was born on Aug. 4, 1933, in Tennessee to Cornelius and Lassie Dossett. She was married to Harold "Abe" Kessler for 29 years and he preceded her in death on May 17, 2013. They had two children, Jennifer Isaacs, of Kokomo, and Jeff Kessler (Jana), of Lafayette.
Also surviving Juanita are her three sisters, Flodena Cooper, Alice Enochs and Gloria Murphy; brother-in-law, Jim Rivers; sister-in-law, Patty Kingseed; brother and sister-in-law, Dick and Mary Smith; aunt, Eva Goyer; six grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; and 15 nephews and nieces.
Juanita's parents; sister, Coby Rivers; brother, Tony Dossett; and son-in-law, Jeff Isaacs preceded her in death.
Juanita graduated from Northwestern High School in 1951 and was an employee of General Motors for 45 years where she was the 1963 "Delco Radio Queen." She was a past member of the United Brethren Church and Morning Star House of the Lord.
She loved her family tremendously and dearly treasured many family get-togethers. The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the physicians, nurses, caregivers, and others who gave their love and time to Juanita.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 20, 2017, at Shirley & Stout Funeral Home & Crematory, Lincoln Road Chapel, 1315 West Lincoln Road with Pastor Greg Reed officiating. Burial will follow in Albright Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
