Juanita Marie Harp, 55, Peru, passed away at her residence Friday, Sept. 29, 2017. She was born Sept. 25, 1962, to her parents, James A. and Frances L. Gamblin (Crane).
Surviving are her daughter, Heather Marie Harp, Kempton; her sisters, Elizabeth Young, Centerville, and Loretta Meadows, Peru; brother, James D. (Beverly) Gamblin, Greenfield; niece, Brandy Hollering, Peru; nephews, Bradley Fisher, Peru, Darrell Williams, New Palestine, Darren Williams, Greenfield, and Brandon Gamblin, Fishers.
She was a 1981 graduate of Kokomo High School. She was an active member of the UAW from 1998 to 2009, working at Chrysler. On July 27, 1986, she gave birth to her only child, Heather Marie Harp, with Jeffery R. Harp, whom she later wed on June 20, 1987.
She enjoyed reading, crafting, cooking, music, animals and playing bingo with family. When asked where she would love to travel to someday, she always said Australia.
She was preceded in death by her parents; stepfather, James C. Gideon; and nephew, Randy A. Morgan.
A celebration of life will be at 3 p.m. Saturday Oct. 21, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 332 W. 300 South, Kokomo, IN 46902.
Memorial contributions may be made to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Arrangements are entrusted to Ellers Mortuary and Cremation Center.
