John Dale Muzzio, 69, Peru, passed away at 10:49 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 17, 2017, at Dukes Memorial Hospital in Peru. He was born July 31, 1948, in Pittsburg, Pennsylvania, to John Francis and Helen Frances (Harner) Muzzio. On Nov. 1, 1997, he married Tonyua S. McLay, and she survives.
John served in the United States Army and later worked for V-Line as a warehouse manager. He then worked for the Kokomo Rescue Mission where he retired from as warehouse manager. He had a wonderful personality, great sense of humor and always put God and his family first. He was a member of In His Image Church.
In addition to his wife, Tonyua S. Muzzio, Peru, he is survived by his son, Michael (Jennifer) Muzzio, McDonald, Pennsylvania; grandson, Michael Muzzio; stepsons, Joshua (Rachel) King, Peru, and Emmanuel (Ranee) McLay, Wawpecong; six stepgrandchildren; siblings, Alice (Carl) Durham, Peru, and Timothy (Ellen) Muzzio, Bethesda, Maryland; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one son, John Muzzio.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 23, 2017, at In His Image Church, 2940 E. 50 North, with Pastor Brad Swain officiating.
Friends are invited to visit from 11 a.m. until the time of service on Wednesday at the church.
