John Edwin Davin Jr., 58, Greentown, passed peacefully surrounded by his family Monday, Jan. 1, 2018. John was born Dec. 28, 1959, in Oscoda, Michigan, to his parents, John Edwin and Marcia J. (Eltringham) Davin Sr. John married Donna Wall on Nov. 23, 1981, in Kokomo.
He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Donna; mother, Marcia; daughters, Melissa Sweezy and Jessica Swigart; siblings, Joellen (Gene) Northcutt, Bill Davin, Debby (John) Hollis and Scott (Marcie) Davin; and best friend, Wayne (Cindy) Kepner. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Austin, Abbie, Aly, Laynie, and great-grandchildren, Charleigh and Kenzie.
John was a 1978 Eastern High School graduate. He went on to work for Delphi Electronics, where he was a skilled-trade carpenter. He enjoyed riding his Harley motorcycle, playing guitar, and singing. His greatest joy was being with his family, especially his grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father, John Edwin Davin Sr., and nephew, Chris Sullivan.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday, Jan. 8, 2018, at Ellers Mortuary, Webster Street Chapel, with visitation from 11 a.m., with Pastor Adam Novinger officiating. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery.
