Jim L. Miles, 79, Cutler, passed away at 3 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 12, 2017, at his home. He was born June 20, 1938, in Henry County, Indiana, to Louis and Dorothy (Abshire) Brown. On Nov. 4, 1961, to Jacqueline Saunders in Albany, Indiana, and she survives.
Jim was a 1957 graduate of Farmland High School, worked for Littler Diecast Corp. in Albany, from 1957 to 1962; and from 1962 to 2001 for Chrysler Corp. He served in the Army National Guard in 1963. Jim loved to go fishing and hunting.
Survivors include his wife, Jacqueline Miles; two daughters, Cynthia Michael, Brandy (Micheal) Horn; three sons, Tom (Brenda) Miles, Timothy (Tamatha) Miles, Jimmy Miles Jr.; five grandchildren, Candace Moss, Catrina Miles, Brandon Michael, Dylan Michael, Leilani Horn, Joshua Horn; two stepgrandchildren, Dakotah Crume, Cheyenne Hunt; one great-grandchild, Destery Jr. "DJ" Moss; and sister, Patty (Lee) Burchnell.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents, Louis and Dorothy Brown; sister, Peggy Farmer; and brother, Danny Peckinpaugh.
Funeral services will be 4 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 16, 2017, at Stout & Son Funeral Home, 200 E. Main St., Russiaville, with Pastor Will Bolton officiating. Cremation will follow the funeral services. Friends may visit with the family from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
